WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE TODAY ?

I recently attended a breakfast hosted by the SA UBUNTU Foundation (Amy Biehl Foundation) and may I say, it was a unique experience !

Why ? - well the energy was so different to so many other breakfasts I've attended - it felt so 'right' to be there. The air was pulsing with positivity and hope - This Foundation has so much to teach us about FORGIVENESS and UBUNTU! Their agenda is not for commercial gain and they do amazing work - We have so much to learn from their story and what they are doing in communities www.saubuntu.co.za

The main speaker was Patricia de Lille, whom I honour and have a huge amount of respect for and, who is to be admired for her tenacity and forthrightness and an absolute seeker of the TRUTH.  She told her story -  humble begininings, the rape and murder of her baby sister - how she had to and did fight for justice of the perpetrators of this heinous crime and her 5 year battle with cancer. She was rushing off to Parliament to fight to keep the 'Scorpions' in place - wow - what a lady and so easy to talk to - we need more 'Patricia's' !

140 mostly strangers from all over CAPE TOWN - mostly self-employed seeking to connect with others and yes, the ENERGY was DIFFERENT because of the hosts - so one projects differently, is what I experienced - one comes from another place and space - respect of the FOUNDATION and a feeling of humility and this is when magic encounters and connections are made - this truly happened for me !

UBUNTU is expressed in Xhosa as 'Umntu ngumntu ngabanye abantu'  -

"People are people through other people" and "I am because I belong to the human community, and I view and treat others accordingly"

Oh what a wonderful world this would be if we applied the spirit of UBUNTU into the thread of all we do !
